Castiglione della Pescaia
, characterized by its impressive medieval castle, is a picturesque fishing village overlooking the coast landscape, wich goes from Argentario Promontary to the hills hiding Punta Ala harbour.
Inside the walls of the castle, the medieval look and charm have still kept.


Castiglione borders with the north part of "Parco della Maremma" (places of great naturalistic importance) and offers an other area of high natural interest: "Riserva Regionale della Diaccia Botrona".

In the middle of the Maremma coast, Castiglione della Pescaia is situated in a suitable geographic position to live in this still incontaminated land. This area is such of archeological and historical interest, as Roselle, Populonia and Vetulonia.


The famous and several beaches of Castiglione della Pescaia satisfy every tourist's tastes. It offers modern bathing establishments close to the sea, where you can rest while getting brown or natural public sandy or rocky beaches where you can admire the wild Maremma.
You can also rent boats, kite-surfs or you can practise diving.
Summer beautiful excursions are available to show the wonderful island of Tuscan Archipelago like
"Giglio", "Giannutri", "Elba".


And after a seaside day the fun goes on at night. You sure will enjoy evening moments with nice restaurants where you can taste the typical Tuscan way of cooking and winwshops in wich you will savour famous red and white wines.
There are lots of shops that make handmade all flavour ice-creams for adults and kids!
In the night you can choose among discos, pubs or beach parties.
